Chris Rowland shares recent changes in ministerial and member services.

On Feb. 19, 2022, Troy Phelps was named the pastor of the San Francisco Bay Area and Petaluma, California, congregations. The previous pastor, Tim Pebworth, is now devoting his time to serving as International Senior Pastor for all French-speaking congregations and members throughout the world.

Also on Feb. 19, David Meidinger was named the pastor of the Albuquerque, New Mexico, congregation. Randy Schreiber now serves the Albuquerque congregation as an associate pastor.

Due to the death of pastor Shawn Cortelyou, Devin Schulz was appointed pastor of the congregation in Elkhart, Indiana, on Feb. 26. Mr. Schulz also pastors the Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids and Lansing congregations in Michigan.

On the same date, Bill Bradford was appointed pastor of the congregation in Munster, Indiana. Mr. Bradford also pastors the Chicago (Illinois) and Beloit (Wisconsin) congregations.

Marcus Lucas, a member from the congregation in Rome, Georgia, was hired on March 10 as a ministerial trainee. He serves the congregations in Cincinnati, Ohio, with pastor Steve Myers.

Chris Rowland and his wife, Katherine, serve in the ministry of the United Church of God. They live in Cincinnati, Ohio, where Chris is Administrative Services Coordinator.

Chris graduated from Wabash College in 1994 with a degree in Mathematics, minoring in Computer Science and French. He worked as a computer programmer and software architect for 17 years before he was hired by the Church full-time in January 2011.
